Presenter Notes Integration

Presenter Notes Integration
3:15

Keep your examination outline at your fingertips by seamlessly integrating it into presenter notes, allowing for a smooth and comprehensive presentation.

Linear presentation software (think PowerPoint or Keynote) allows the presenter to add notes to a slide. The notes can be a simple outline with reminders, or a complete script, and ensure the presenter touches on all the important points for a given slide without showing the notes to the audience.

TrialPad brings the powerful capability of Presenter Notes to your dynamic presentation with the Presenter Notes tool. The Presenter Notes tool allows you to add custom notes to every page in your TrialPad Case File.

Create Presenter Notes:

In the Documents tab, start by selecting a document. Tap Note at the top of the Document Preview Window to reveal a transparent grey text box. As you add to the text box, it will automatically expand, allowing you to add up to 4,000 characters of Presenter Notes. After adding Presenter Notes, a red dot in the Documents List indicates that a Presenter Note is associated with that document.

Tap the Note tool to show or hide your Presenter Notes from view.

While viewing your Presenter Notes, you can prompt yourself to call out or highlight a particular area before asking a question of the witness. When you select an annotation tool while Presenter Notes are open, the Presenter Notes will slide away so that you can make your annotation, and will reappear when the annotation is complete.

Presenter Notes can be created in Key Docs the same way they are created in Documents. In Key Docs, a tab at the top of the Presenter Notes will allow you to toggle between Presenter Notes created in Documents and Presenter Notes created in Key Docs.

Get creative!

Because Presenter Notes are associated with a specific document or Key Doc, using Presenter Notes for witness outlines is ideal. Once you've added Presenter Notes to a page, you can change the order of your examination using the Custom sort, and the Presenter Notes will stay with them.

If you have a point you want to make while questioning a witness, TrialPad makes it easy to associate Presenter Notes with a blank document in Key Docs. While in the Key Docs tab, tap the "+" at the bottom left of the Documents List and choose Add Whiteboard. This will create a blank document. You can rename the document and add any notes. One way this is used is when introducing a witness to the jury. With some witnesses, it may be appropriate to present a C.V., but with other witnesses, you might choose to add a Whiteboard and show a blank screen. After you create the whiteboard, rename it "Witness Introduction" and add Presenter Notes to remind to you prompt the witness with questions about their background and qualifications.

This can work with any point you want to make. Add the blank Whiteboard to your witness outline, rename the whiteboard by topic, and add Presenter Notes to keep your outline and examination on track.

Now you can integrate your entire outline into your presentation. Important notes and key points always stay with your documents and Key Docs, for quick reference anytime - even while presenting!
